Popular comedian and media personality Oga Obinna debuted on Citizen TV on Friday, July 28 as the new host of the electrifying 10/10 show.
Royal Media Services appears to have settled on Obinna, after weeks of scouting following the exit of the legendary Willis Raburu who left the company after 13 years.
The comedian could not wait to hit the screen again, breaking the news with his fans on Instagram where he stated that it was a great achievement.
In his post, Obinna revealed that he always dreamt of working at the RMS and the dream had finally come true.
“It’s such an honor to be here. Tonight (Friday), I tick another dream off my to-do list. I always wanted to work at RMS on Citizen TV. Finally, my dream has come true! I get to be on TV again as a host of the biggest TV show 10/10!! Mama, we made it,” read part of his post.
To the fans of the show, Obinna promised to use his previous experiences to deliver in his new position.
“With my experience from hosting numerous TV shows like Kajairo Music Comedy, Breaktime Show, Comedy Club, Offside on NTV, FNL on Kiss TV and other concerts and events hosted over 10 years, I will not let you down,” the confident Obinna said.
Further, Obinna promised to work closely with the team at 10/10 to take the show to another level.
“With guidance from the 10/10 team of dope Producers, Directors, and Camera crew, plus the in-studio Audience, expect nothing but pure bliss,” said Obinna.
Obinna First 10/10 Show
On his first show, Obinna hosted MC Jopema , DJ Crossfade and the Wanavokali Music Crew.
Obinna also hosted Groovy Jo who outlined her musical journey at the show.
MC Frankid, Swat and Shekina also formed part of the guests list in Obinna’s first show.

Obinna Previous Roles
His recent job was at KISS FM where he was a co-host alongside Kwambox.
KISS FM, a brand of the Radio Africa Group plucked Obinna to replace Felix Jalang’o who ventured into politics in March 2022.
He worked with Kamene Goro until late last year when she quit the station.
However, Obinna also quit KISS FM in April this year after his contract at Lions Place, Waiyaki Way expired.
Additionally, Obinna is a social media influencer and brand ambassador who has worked with several companies such as Deacon, USN Kenya, Uber and Golden Tulip.
Obinna, however, came into the limelight through comedy. He acted in various platforms such as the Churchill Show.
In 2019, Obinna landed a job at the Nation Media Group’s (NMG) Nation FM.
His first radio job was a show on Kenyan radio (Homerun) where he was a co-host alongside Dr Cupid and Brian Oduor.

Raburu Quits RMS
Willis Raburu left in June 2023 after 13 years with RMS.
“I have made the decision to leave the Royal Media Services and it’s been a tough decision, but they have been so gracious to me from the time I tendered in my resignation,” he said.
At RMS, Raburu worked as a news reporter, news anchor and host of various segments on Citizen TV including Sporty Monday, Relationships, Your Health, and What’s Cooking.
It has taken RMS time to get Willis Raburu’s replacement owing to his talent and versatility.
