One person has been shot at Kware in Mukuru kwa Njenga, during an ongoing operation to retrieve bodies dumped at the location.
According to the Mukuru Community Justice Centre, the man was shot at around 3:00 PM in the area.
the victim, identified as Abel Muli, was shot by a live bullet on his backside and rushed to hospital for medical attention.
At the same time, another victim, Cynthia Khisa, was hit by a teargas canister on his right rib.
“One person has been shot in the ongoing protest in Mukuru Kwa Njenga Kware.”

Two More Bodies Recovered from Kware
Moreover, the community center reported that the residents recovered two more bodies from the site.
“Two more bodies found at Kware Mukuru Kwa Njenga today. The situation is also getting hostile as youth damp the bodies at the police station,” the statement read in part.
Moreover, the residents of the area have lamented that police officers have delayed in retrieving bodies at the site forcing them to take matters into their own hands.
Additionally, the residents have said that they have had to borrow ropes from neighbors to help them access the dumpsite and retrieve bodies.
At the same time, Azimio leader Raila Odinga and the Secretary General Edwin Sifuna went to the Mukuru kwa Njenga dump site in Kware as residents protested against the killings being reported in the country.
Roots Party leader George Wajakoyah was also pictured at the area, interacting with the youth.

Police IG Moves all Officers from Kware
Earlier, acting Inspector General (IG) Douglas Kanja announced the transfer of all officers from Quarry police station, to maintain the integrity of the investigations and prevent any potential conflicts or bias.
Additionally, he confirmed that all the bodies discovered so far belong to women.
Kanja emphasized the importance of conducting thorough and conclusive investigations, urging the public to grant the police 21 days to uncover the truth.
