Parents in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County have exposed a consultancy agency that swindled them millions of shillings after assuring their children jobs overseas.
While appearing before the Senate on August 17, the victims disclosed that the firm swindled them during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Moreover, the victims revealed that they had paid Ksh40,000 to Ksh400,000 each to secure jobs on contract terms in Qatar but it was eight months since the World Cup ended.
Moreover, they claimed that First Choice Recruitment agency based in Eldoret was behind collecting money in the name of jobs abroad.
Notably, the revelation came in the wake of another scam, involving the leadership of Uasin Gishu County that saw parents lose close to Ksh1 billion in a fictitious academic airlift program.
