A report by Watamu Police Station states that Jubilee Party Deputy Organizing Secretary, Pauline Njoroge was arrested and detained after she was allegedly found in possession of drugs.
According to the police report, Pauline was found with tablets suspected to be narcotics.
Police say they intercepted the vehicle Pauline, and two others were using, and found the substance believed to be drugs after conducting a search.
Moreover, the digital strategist was arrested alongside the two individuals including their driver.

“At around 1630 hours, officers from DCI Kilifi County while tracing for one Pauline Njoroge, intercepted a motor vehicle along Watamu Jacaranda road and upon search from the vehicle, four rolls of dry plant material suspected to be narcotic drugs were recovered,” the police report read in part.
Police recorded that the vehicle was occupied by Njoroge, Jane Mwangi Nduta and Emanze Jilani, a Giriama male adult who was the driver.
Furthermore, the police report states that the officers accompanied the digital strategist and her company to a residential house they had booked where they allegedly found more drugs.
“A further search was conducted at their residence at Mawe Zuri resort house number Tatu which was occupied by Jane Mwangi and a clear container containing ten (10) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was recovered and in house number Nine which was occupied by Pauline Njoki Njoroge, a clear container containing 50(fifty) tablets suspected to be narcotic substances was also recovered,” the police report adds.
As such, Pauline Njoroge and the other two are currently held at Watamu police station.
According to the police report, the three will be charged with the offence of being in possession of Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Speculations on Her Arrest
However, after the news of her arrest on Saturday, July 22, Kenyans online made assumptions that Pauline was arrested in connection her tweets.

Before her arrest, the digital strategist and strong Azimio supporter had sent out a tweet criticizing the brutal way the government was handling residents in Nyanza.
“The massacre happening in Nyanza is heart breaking. The images are so painful to see. Men’s organs are being mutilated, other forms of atrocities, crimes against humanity also happening especially in the Nyalenda area.” Pauline’s tweet reads.
