Construction of the new 10,000-seater Kapsabet Stadium is progressing steadily in Nandi County, with engineers reporting significant milestones as superstructure works begin to transform the local landscape.
The ambitious nine-month project is set to reinforce the region’s global reputation as the “Source of Champions,” with construction teams maintaining an intensive daily schedule to keep the development on track.
With excavation, foundation works and backfilling now complete, crews have shifted their focus to reinforced concrete casting and superstructure assembly, beginning with the Southern Stand and the VIP section.

Once complete, the 12-metre-high facility will feature a 14-tier spectator grandstand covered by a four-metre structural steel canopy, a full-sized football pitch and a modern 10-lane athletics track.
Designed to host local and international sporting events, the stadium will be equipped with reliable utility infrastructure, including dual power connections from Kenya Power, an auxiliary standby generator, an independent water pumping system and a 38,000-litre water reservoir to supplement the county’s water supply and ensure uninterrupted operations during major events.
