Luo Benga musician Prince Indah has released fresh details of the Kisii–Migori highway accident that killed a cop in Kisii Town.
Eric Ochieng Opiyo popularly known as, Prince Indah, revealed that the accident happened around a lounge that he was performing in on Friday night and some of his band members got severe injuries and are now in stable conditions.

Among those dead, he said, are three of his known fans to allay fears that some members of his crew died in the multiple vehicle crash.
”My sincere condolences goes to the family of departed souls among them being 3 of my known fans. Other band members who got severe injuries are now in stable conditions and out of danger,” he revealed.

Additionally, he clarified that his show scheduled at Mwisho Mwisho Tourist Hotel will go on as planned to cushion bills in the in various hospitals around Kisii following the tragic incident.
“Other band members who got severe injuries but are now in stable conditions and out of danger were the DRIVER to a lorry which carries my sound system, he has a cut on the head, MARCYL ABOGE also part of my security detail had a cut on his head, OWEN MUSILA a saxophonist had a deep cut in his mouth,” the musician explained

“In the meantime, today’s show in Siaya at Mwisho Mwisho Tourist hotel will just go on as was scheduled to cushion the bills in various hospitals around Kisii following the tragic incident,” Prince Indah revealed.
The benga musician went on to appeal to his fans to show up in large numbers while promising a “show of their lives”.
While confirming the accident, Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kases stated that a police officer attached to Nyanchwa Police Station, the driver of the lorry, and a pedestrian are among those who lost their lives in the early morning accident.
The lorry enroute to the Tanzania border lost control and hit guard rails at the Waumini Plaza area causing the deaths of 3 people.
According to preliminary reports from traffic officers leading the rescue operations, more people are feared to have sustained serious injuries in the Saturday morning accident.
