A bus traveling from Nairobi to Bungoma was involved in a road accident early July 20 in Bukembe.
Footage seen by The Kenya Times shows the Greenline bus overturned at the side of the road as concerned bystanders gather around, with some passengers seen climbing out of the wreckage.
The exact number of passengers on board and the extent of any injuries remain unconfirmed.
The bus reportedly collided with a truck, though the cause of the accident has not yet been established.
As of press time, authorities had not released an official statement.
Nyamira Road Accident
This comes barely a week after another road accident claimed the lives of seven people along the Keroka-Sotik road in Nyamira County.

The tragic incident occurred near the Kijauri area when a truck overturned on Friday afternoon, leaving a matatu completely dismantled.
The lorry was carrying logs and lost control, crashing into vehicles, pedestrians, and roadside hawkers.
On Sunday, June 8, 2025, a deadly crash took place near the Keroka Sub-County Hospital in Nyamira County.
A police report indicated that a PSV matatu collided with two motorcycles before plunging into a ditch. According to the police report, three people died.
2025 Road Accidents Report
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) released new figures detailing the number of road accident fatalities recorded in the first three months of 2025.
According to the report, 5,856 people were involved in road crashes between January 1 and March 31, marking a decrease of 1,908 cases compared to the same period in 2024.

Of those involved, 1,139 people lost their lives, a slight drop from the 1,166 fatalities recorded during the same period last year.
Another 3,316 individuals sustained serious injuries, while 2,693 suffered minor injuries.
Pedestrians remained the most vulnerable road users, with 420 fatalities reported, down from 434 in the first quarter of 2024.
189 passengers died in various crashes during the period, while 83 drivers lost their lives, both figures lower than the 243 passengers and 94 drivers killed in the same period last year.
On the other hand, motorcyclist fatalities rose to 301, up from 274 in 2024. Pillion passengers also saw an increase in deaths, with 130 fatalities reported, compared to 100 in the previous year.
Pedal cyclist deaths, however, dropped slightly from 21 in 2024 to 16 in 2025.
