President William Ruto on October 2023 appointed former Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) CEO Terry Ramadhani, whom he suspended in May, to head Kenya’s mission in India.
Ramadhan was suspended along other eight other officers over Ksh3.7 billion mosquito nets tender.

She held the position of CEO at KEMSA from March 2022 where she provided strategic oversight for the procurement, warehousing, and distribution of essential medical supplies.
Following her appointment as an ambassador, the former KEMSA boss now heads to New Delhi, India, as the Deputy Commissioner.

Terry Ramadhani has served in various capacities as a Human Resource practitioner for over 19 years.

She holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool, Adaptive Leadership Certification from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Education from Kenyatta University.

Additionally, she is a certified project management professional and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Ramadhani has held several strategic and leadership positions in the public and private health sectors.

Professional Career
Before she was appointed CEO KEMSA, she served as the Aga Khan University Director Academy HR and Global Change.
From March 2020 to March 2022, Ramadhani was the Director of Academy HR and Global Change at Aga Khan University, where she spearheaded executive HR decisions and managed critical change initiatives.
One of her notable achievements was the successful launch of the Faculty of Health Sciences, collaborating closely with academic and marketing teams to develop a strategic market entry plan.
Before her tenure at Aga Khan University, she served as a Senior Director at the President’s Delivery Unit in the Executive Office of the President from September 2018 to March 2020.
She was overseeing the implementation of the national government’s Health projects. Terry also previously served as a KEMSA Board Member.

In this role, she was instrumental in guiding the implementation of flagship programs aligned with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda, fostering strong partnerships with key government stakeholders.
Her career also includes a significant role as Senior Manager of Human Resources for East Africa at Aga Khan University from November 2016 to August 2018, where he provided strategic HR solutions and supported various business units.
Earlier, she was the Manager of Human Resources at the same institution, focusing on enhancing HR functions through effective staff planning and performance management.
Ramadhani began his professional journey in the UK as a Human Resources Coordinator at Gladstone House, where she effectively managed HR activities and budgetary oversight.
She also contributed to youth welfare and education as a Youth Program Officer when she dealt with budget monitoring for informed planning of development proposals.
