The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has said it reserves the ‘full right’ to respond following the Iranian ballistic missile attack targeting its territory.
In a statement on February 28, the Emirati Ministry of Defence confirmed that several ballistic missiles launched from Iran were detected, with air defence systems successfully intercepting a number of them.
However, debris from the intercepted missiles fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing property damage and leaving one person of Asian nationality dead.
“The Ministry stressed that this targeting constitutes a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law, and that the country reserves its full right to respond to this escalation and take all necessary measures to protect its lands, people, and residents, in a manner that ensures the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protects its interests and national capabilities,” read part of the statement.
The ministry condemned the attack, describing it as a dangerous escalation and a violation of civilian safety.
However, the authorities in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed that the security situation remains under control, with relevant agencies monitoring developments around the clock.
The Ministry reaffirmed the country’s categorical rejection of any targeting of civilian facilities, infrastructure, and national institutions, stating that such actions constitute a dangerous escalation that threatens civilian safety and undermines regional stability.
The Ministry added that security forces are on high alert and fully prepared to address any emerging threats, stressing that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority.

Qatar Statement on the Attack
The State of Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that attacks on Qatari territory violate the principles of ‘good neighborliness’ and are unacceptable under any circumstances.
Qatar has historically maintained a neutral stance in regional conflicts and has worked to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the international community. The ministry noted that the recent targeting of Qatari lands undermines trust and threatens the foundations of bilateral relations between the two countries.
“The State of Qatar expresses its strongest condemnation of the targeting of Qatari territories with Iranian ballistic missiles, considering it a flagrant violation of its national sovereignty, a direct assault on its security and the safety of its lands, and an unacceptable escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region,” read part of the statement.
Qatar has also condemned the attack, joining the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Kingdom of Bahrain in denouncing the Iranian response.
