WPP Scangroup PLC has announced the resignation of Non-Executive Director Federico De Nardis from the company’s board effective September 30, 2024.
Nardis had served in the non-executive capacity at the company since April 2022 on a contract.
In a newspaper notice, WPP Scangroup recognized Nardis, who is a communication and marketing expert, for his contributions to the organization.
“The WPP Scangroup board thanks him for his valuable insights and contributions, which have greatly influenced the company’s growth and transformation during his time with us,” the notice read.
Nardis has worked for various companies around the world, fostering their growth through communication and marketing strategies
He is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Group M Sub-Saharan Africa, a role he started in February 2018. He is based in Johannesburg South Africa and oversees 24 countries across the continent.
Contributions of Nardis in the Industry
With over 30 years in the industry, Nardis has also worked in agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi, Fiat Group, and Maxus (now Wavemaker).
He founded Alchera, one of Italy’s first digital agencies, and during his time at Maxus, helped the agency to expand, open new offices and achieve double-digit growth.
Nardis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rome, studied a postgraduate at Pace University, New York, and holds a master’s degree in management from Isvor Fiat, which is Fiat Group’s training institution.
In May 2024, WPP Scangroup reported an after-tax profit of Ksh130 million for the 2023 financial year, posting an improvement following a Ksh145.5 million loss in 2022.

The next stage of transforming our business is focused on continuing to invest in technology and talent, leveraging the gig economy and AI for agility and developing net-zero targets in line with our sustainability agenda,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patricia Ithau said at the time.
