Road Closure During Marathon

Motorists have been urged to plan their routes carefully and anticipate major traffic disruptions.

The Nairobi Expressway will be fully closed in both directions—from James Gichuru to JKIA—starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, and will reopen at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 6.

On Waiyaki Way, the inner lanes will be closed from Musa Gitau Road to the expressway entrance between midnight and 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Both Mombasa Road and the Southern Bypass (at the Likoni Road crossing) will also be disrupted from midnight to 11 a.m. on Sunday, affecting several roundabouts and key access points into the city.

Uhuru Highway will be closed from midnight to 2 p.m. on Sunday, with the closure impacting sections between the Southern Bypass and Lang’ata Roundabout, as well as between Bunyala Roundabout and Kenyatta Avenue.

In addition, Kenyatta Avenue will be closed from the Panafric Hotel to Uhuru Highway between midnight and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
