Long-time journalist and editor Isaiah Langat has announced his departure at Radio Africa Group after 12 years.
In a statement he shared on Tuesday, April 30, Langat expressed that he is looking forward to new beginnings.
“Leaving this building is bittersweet, but I exit with a heart full of appreciation. What a journey it’s been! Today marks the end of 12 years at Radio Africa Group as the Head of Digital,” he said.”
He bid farewell to his colleagues, acknowledging it as a privilege to work alongside them.
“To my colleagues, it’s been a privilege working alongside you. Farewell, and may success always be by your side. Cheers to new beginnings,” Langat said.
Isaiah Langat Professional Journey
Langat joined Radio Africa Group in September 2011 as a digital reporter for the Star Newspaper.
He worked under this role for two years and ten months until June 2014 when he rose through the ranks.

In July 2014, he advanced to the role of Web Administrator, where he published content, maintained thematic consistency, designed layouts, and improved navigation until March 2016.
In the same month of 2016, he progressed through various positions to lead the Social Media Department at the Radio Africa Group.
Under the role, he trained Journalists on content promotion techniques and emphasized self-sufficiency in community management.
He served in this capacity until November 2021, when he attained the position of Head of Digital Solutions.
In this role, he spearheaded the development of innovative digital strategy solutions for Radio Africa Group in collaboration with technical and implementation teams.

He held this role until his departure. Additionally, he served as a news reporter at Kiss 100 FM for three months.
Before joining Radio Africa Group, he worked as a journalism trainee on Democracy and Governance at Internews Network for a period of one year from June 2010 to June 2011.
Langat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Daystar University.
