Jinaro Kibet, SC, whose official name is Kibet Jinaro Kipkemoi, is a prominent Kenyan corporate lawyer and sports administrator.
Kibet is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 34 years’ standing and is also one of the four founding Partners of TripleOKLaw LLP Advocates, a top-tier City law firm, where he is also the Senior Partner in the corporate and commercial department.
In August 2022, he was conferred the prestigious rank of Senior Counsel (SC) by the President of Kenya, an honour reserved for advocates of high professional integrity and long-standing experience.
Early Life and Educational Background
Jinaro Kibet is an alumnus of Chelingwa Primary School in Kamariny, Elgeyo Marakwet County. He grew up in this rural setting and was raised primarily by his grandmother.

The legal practitioner attended the prestigious St. Patrick’s High School in Iten, a school renowned for both academic excellence and the production of world-class athletes.
In 1988, he earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) from the University of Nairobi and, in 1989, obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
In 1993, he completed the Commonwealth Young Lawyers’ Course at the University of London, specifically through SOAS and the Institute of Legal Studies, under British Council sponsorship.

Unga Group PLC- Non-Executive Director, Telkom Kenya as a Member of the Board of Directors, Prime Bank, serving as the Director, Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya – Director level, and was the previous chairperson of Capital Markets Tribunal.

Career Achievements
Kipkemoi honed his skills in London at the Inner Temple under Lord Williams of Mostyn, a former Attorney General of England.
In his advisory role, he has frequently drafted laws and regulations for the Kenyan government, particularly in financial services and capital markets.
He achieved the highest professional rank in the Kenyan bar in 2022, being conferred the title of Senior Counsel.
In 2024, the sports administrator was elected to the Board of Directors of Meritas, which is a global alliance of over 190 independent law firms.
