The Registrar of Companies, Damaris Lukwo, has announced the intended dissolution of 266 companies under the Companies Act.
In a Gazette Notice dated January 6, 2026 (Vol. CXXVIII—No. 22), the Registrar stated that the listed firms will be struck off the Register of Companies after three months unless they provide proof that they are actively carrying on business and have complied with statutory requirements.
“PURSUANT to section 894 (3) of the companies Act, the Registrar of Companies gives notice that the names of the companies specified hereunder shall be struck off from the Register of Companies at the expiry of three months from the date of publication of this Notice, and invites any person to show cause why the companies should not be struck off from the Register of Companies,” read the notice.

266 Companies Face Dissolution
According to the gazette notice, the companies intended for dissolution span a wide range of sectors, including travel, technology, consultancy, aviation, construction, and marketing.
In the travel sector, listed firms include Adoro Tours and Travel Limited, Adrix Tours and Travel Limited, and Advanced Higher Education and Travel Consultancy Company Limited.
The technology sector includes companies like Adaptive Data Solutions Ltd and Adashlink Technologies Limited,
Consultancy and marketing firms such as Adar Consultancy Company Limited and Adapt Marketing Limited are also named.
In addition, construction and engineering companies, including Adawe Construction Co. Limited and Adecco Construction and Supplies Company Limited, are also affected.
Aviation companies such as Adastra Aviation Limited and A-D Aviation (Aircharter) Limited are also part of the intended dissolutions.

On January 31, 2025, Lukwo also announced the dissolution of 141 companies.
“PURSUANT to section 897 (4) of the Companies Act, it is notified for the information of the general public that the following companies are dissolved and their names have been struck off the Register of Companies with effect from the date of publication of this notice,” the gazette notice rad in part.
