Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei claims that the media has not accepted that William Ruto is the President of Kenya.
While referring to a headline by a local newspaper, Cherargei urged Kenyans to ignore things that paint the head of state in bad light.
Moreover, the Nandi Senator accused the media of fighting the president over the past five years.
“Most of the media in this country are still in denial that H.E Ruto is the president of Kenya. This is after fighting him for the last five years and the great people of Kenya rejected their propaganda plus their sponsors, Azimio-OKA. Ignore such headlines with the contempt it deserves! Waende wasikie vibaya huko kwao!” Cheragei noted.

The local daily had reported on alleged internal strife within the President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza government. According to the newspaper, the internal woe within the administration is what caused the recent reshuffle of Principal Secretaries and the resignation of Correctional Services PS Esther Ngero.
However, Senator Cherargei strongly dismissed the claims saying there are no disputes in President Ruto’s administration.
Nonetheless, this is not the first time a member of Kenya Kwanza is accusing the fourth estate of biasedness. During the 2022 campaigns, Ruto on many occasions called out members of the press for being biased in covering the campaigns.
