Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication and Digital Economy, Eliud Owalo has said the Kenya Kwanza government is ready to work with the Nyanza leadership for empowerment of the locals.
CS Owalo urged both elected and non-elected leaders from Nyanza region to take advantage of the government’s open policy to help drive the economic agenda of the area.
Moreover, the CS made these remarks during a food distribution exercise on Sunday, December 18, where he was accompanied by Suba south MP, Caroli Omondi, former Rangwe MP Martin Ogindo and Ugunja sub county deputy county commissioner, Felix Watakila among others.
CS Owalo also noted that the current government is committed to implementing promises it made to Kenyans during the campaigns.
According to the CS, the President William Ruto-led government has no time for empty rhetoric and will only engage in economic development politics.

“At the tail end of our term, we would wish that the Kenya Kwanza government is held accountable by the delivery of the promises that we made” he stated.
He further urged the national government administration officers to ensure that the relief food supplies go to the intended beneficiaries, warning that cases of food disappearance will not be tolerated.
