Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Philips named Kenya as his favorite holiday destination.
Philips made this revelation while answering quick-fire questions after joining London based side West Ham United on loan.
“What’s your favorite holiday destination? ” Asked the interviewer. Without hesitation, Philip names Kenya as his favorite holiday destination.
As could be expected, this post by West Ham United attracted reactions from Kenyans on social media.
Kenyans React
The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) in a post welcomed the player and the whole West Ham squad to come play in Kenya.
“Hey Kalvin Philips, come kick it in Kenya again sometime soon and bring the whole West Ham team with you,” said KTB.
Kenyan popular football commentator and comedian Arap Uria replied with the Kenyan flag and a smiling emoji.
Facebook user Yusuf Shaffy encouraged Philips to visit Kenya describing how beautiful the country is. Others also encouraged the footballer to travel to Kenya and see nature.
“Welcome to Kenya, we love you Philips,” wrote William Sakeri.

Likewise, a section of Facebook users also pledged to support West Ham just because the midfielder named Kenya as his holiday destination.
“I’m on loan for six months because of his love for Kenya, a new fan and I need a West Ham jersey,” wrote Fazer Rua.
In the quickfire, Philip named Kevin De Bruyne as the best player he has ever played with in his career.
Other than football, the midfielder picked golf and basketball as his favorite sports.
He also said winning the champions league with Manchester City was his biggest and looks forward to the night views in London.
Philips picked steak as his favorite meal, described his playing as energetic and revealed that his nickname is Yorkshire Pirlo.

Kalvin Philips Loan Deal
Phillips passed his medical on Friday January 26 ahead of the loan move from Manchester City to West Ham.
The England midfielder made only 31 appearances for City since a £45m transfer from Leeds in July 2022.
He has left Pep Guardiola’s side on a loan deal but there is an option to join West Ham permanently.
Crystal Palace and Newcastle also contacted City about a possible move, while Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus were also making contacts about Philips.
