Historic Victories Against Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards
In March 2026, BB Bread FC captured national attention after eliminating top clubs in the Kenyan Premier League from a competition.
In the round of 64 of the Mozzart Bet Cup, BB Bread FC faced one of Kenya’s traditional powerhouses, defending giants AFC Leopards. After a 2–2 draw in the regular time, the Kayole side triumphed 4‑3 on penalties.
That was then followed by a more dramatic result in the round of 32 at Nyayo National Stadium, where BB Bread FC eliminated the 21-time champions Gor Mahia with a 1–0 victory. A late winner in the 84th minute by substitute Dennis Mutheni sealed the victory, sending the lower-tier team into the round of 16.
The club will now proceed to the round of 16, and a draw is expected to be conducted by the Football Kenya Federation
Other qualified teams in the round of 16 include Tusker, KCB, Shabana, Kenya Police, and Bandari.
