Other Bunge FC Stars apart from Namwamba
Notably, Namwamba is not the only cabinet secretary in President William Ruto‘s administration to have played for Bunge FC.
His Transport counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen, was a prolific striker. In a previous interview, Bunge FC coach George Sunguti admitted that the team was finding it hard to find a replacement for Murkomen.
“One of our key players is now a CS, Kipchumba Murkomen, he was our main striker and replacing him has been a challenge because he was our top goal scorer.
Right now, we lack an out and out goal scorer and him (Murkomen) coming to training has been a challenge like this year he has done two or three training sessions,” he said.
Other former Bunge FC stars include UDA Secretary-General and former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.
Defender and current captain, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo, adds further luster to the squad.
Other notable Members of Parliament who are part of the honorable squad include Mohamed Ali (Nyali), Dan Wanyama (Webuye West) and Senators Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho) and Karungo Thang’wa (Kiambu).
