WhatsApp is increasing its group member limit to 1,024 people.
Moreover, this number is double the limit they put in May this year, which was 512.
Additionally, the latest beta version of the messaging platform for both Android and iOS allows users to add up to 1,024 other participants to a group.
Nonetheless, according to Mashable report, the feature is only available to a limited number of beta testers at the moment.
Furthermore, WhatsApp introduced the ability to share files of up to 2GB when it was doubling the group member capacity from 256 to 512 in May.
In addition, the platform recently announced a handful of new privacy updates, including the ability for users to check their messages without other people knowing.
WhatsApp currently has more than 2 billion users.
The meta-owned service has also added the ability for people to control who can see when they’re online, prevent others from taking screenshots of certain messages, and leave groups without notifying all group members.
