Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has accused the Kenya Kwanza administration led by President William Ruto of abandoning him. He remarked that at no time did the President or other top officials speak to him before he was ousted as Chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee.
Nyoro said he is not aware of the reason why he was removed as chairperson of the committee.

“No one in the leadership of our coalition from which ever position has ever called me in regard to the position or what I need to change, do better or things that needed to be done differently,” Nyoro said.

“In terms of the relationship with other leaders, I respect everyone. I mean, I’m one of those people who believe that there’s no person who cannot become a leader,” he said.
Ndindi Nyoro Response to Ichung’wah & Junet
Nyoro further responded to claims of allocating more funds to his constituency during his term as the Chairperson of the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee.
National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah alongside his Minority counterpart Junet Mohammed accused Nyoro of using his position to favour Kiharu at the expense of other constituencies.
Nyoro asked the leaders and media to do research about the allocation by the Committee in the past years and compare with the data during his term.
“I am not the first person to hold this position, you can do an analysis for the past many years it has existed and try to see and compare for yourself. It is not good to talk about yourself because you are likely to be subjective. To be objective, the data is out there just check,” he said.

However, Nyoro said the two are entitled to their opinion since every politician has their way of playing politics reiterating that his political brand is about revenge.
“Every politician has their own brand of politics. I don’t answer evil with evil neither do I answer insult with insult. We are all different,” he said.
However, Nyoro said he cannot be provoked and continue dancing to the tune as a leader.
“Anger and hatred are too heavier burdens for any leader to carry and you only have such negative emotions to the advantage of the destructor, so it is important to draw your line in politics,” he said.

Allegations Against the Budget Committee
Junet said MPs were going for benchmarking at Kiharu since Nyoro was allocating more funds to his constituency as compared to others.
“What is making our members to go and benchmark in our colleague’s constituency? Because the colleague is receiving more funding because of him being the chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee,” Junet said.
He claimed that there is no MP who can afford to build classrooms, plaster them, put windows, put on roofs, put tiles in the classroom, cabros e and advertise it using NG-CDF.
Ichung’wah made similar allegations stating that “It is immoral, unethical, and outright theft! We cannot have a situation where one county receives Ksh12 billion while an entire region struggles with just Ksh60 million. How is that even possible?”
