BIOGRAPHY
He was born in a small village known as Gathukeini in December 1985.
In a past interview, Nyoro narrated how his mother struggled to raise them after losing his father at a young age.
Nyoro attended Gathukeini Primary School from 1991 to 1999 when he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
He qualified to join Kiaguthu Boys but was unable to due to a lack of school fees.
He was admitted to Kiambugi Boys, where the principal, a family friend, allowed his mother to pay the school fees in installments.
Nyoro sat for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in 2003 and became the only student to qualify for university that year from Kiambugi.
In 2005, he joined Kenyatta University, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
While at the university, he was elected the Academic Secretary, making him a member of the Kenyatta University Students Association.
He became the chairman of both the Murang’a and Mount Kenya Students Association. In 2009, he graduated from the university.

Nyoro came from a family of four, where he was the last born. He lost his father at a young age, and the family struggled to make ends meet.
He is married to Sophia Wambui.
For three years, from 2013 to 2016, he worked as the chairperson of the Kiharu Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
He worked part-time for Ngenye Kariuki and Company Stockbrokers.
Nyoro was the managing director for Afrisec Telecoms Limited between 2006 and 2010 before joining Stockbridge Capital in the same capacity.
Politics
He ventured into national politics in the 2017 general elections, vying for the Kiharu parliamentary seat under the Jubilee Party ticket and won.
After the divisions between Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto following the 2018 handshake, Nyoro sided with Ruto’s wing.
He was re-elected in 2022 under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), garnering 68,256 votes, while his closest competitor, Karanja Mburu Wamatangi (Jubilee), got 9,425 votes.
Kenya Power Shares
Nyoro became the largest individual shareholder in Kenya Power in August 2023 when he acquired an additional 5.2 million shares in the company.
As of June 2023, Nyoro’s shares in the company stood at 32.5 million shares, representing approximately a 1.67 percent stake.
However, he sold 11.78 million shares, or 36 percent of his shares, between June and December 2023.
This reduced his stake in Kenya Power to 20.72 million units, representing a 1.06 percent share, now worth Ksh29 million.
