Prof. Philip Kaloki is a Kenyan politician and public servant who has served in education, government, and leadership roles across various public institutions.
In July, the former Kibwezi MP announced his political exit from the Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) led by the former Vice President of Kenya, Kalonzo Musyoka.
According to Phillip, he is exiting Wiper to join the President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and contest for the Makueni gubernatorial seat on a UDA ticket in the 2027 General Election, as demanded by the citizens.
Speaking during a rally in Makueni, Phillip asked the members of the public who attended which party he should join ahead of the 2027 election after leaving WFP.
He, however, noted that after exiting from WFP, he would not join a smaller party, with the Makueni residents supporting him to join UDA.
“You have requested I leave Wiper completely? After I leave Wiper, it is either I vie as an independent candidate or join the 2027 election race under UDA,” Philip Kaloki stated on his political stand.
