President William Ruto on Tuesday, November 12, made several state appointments across various departments within the government.
The appointments include a list of former politicians and renowned public figures.
One of the notable politicians who has received a state appointment is
former Starehe Member of Parliament, Charles Njagua, also known as Jaguar.
Jaguar has been nominated as a member of the Commission of Administrative Justice (CAJ).
Jaguar lands state job nomination
Njagua served as the Starehe legislator from 2017 to 2022 and lost the seat in the 2022 general elections to his counterpart, Amos Mwago.
The former Starehe has been nominated alongside Dorothy Jemator Kimengech.
Meanwhile, the President has also nominated Charles Orindo to be the Chairperson of the CAJ.

The nominee is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 20 years’ experience in private legal practice and public service.
Mr. Dulo was among the founding members of faculty of Daystar University’s School of Law where he still serves as a lecturer.

He has also lectured law in various universities; including Strathmore University School of Business, Daystar University School of Law, and Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT)’s School of Law.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) from the University of Nairobi; and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Ruto nominates Issack Hassan to head IPOA
Elsewhere, President Ruto appointed former Independent and Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Issak Hassan as Chairperson of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA).
Issak is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 30 years experience as a legal practitioner and consultant in various countries including Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Namibia, and Afghanistan.

Hassan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Diploma in Contemporary Public Administration Management from Galilee International Management Institute, Israel.
Besides nominating the former IEBC Chairperson to head IPOA, Ruto also nominated seven members to the institution, including Ann Wanjiku Mwangi, Dr. Micah Onyiego Nyakego, Boniface Kipkemoi Samati, Annette Mbogoh, John Muchiri Nyaga, Kenwilliams Nyakomitah, and Jackline Lukalo Mwenesi.
