Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has been acquitted of charges accusing him of forging his academic certificates.
Magistrate Felix Kombo ruled that the state did not present a compelling case to justify the allegations. Kombo emphasized that the failure to produce and verify the relevant documents rendered the charges baseless.

The magistrate also criticized the investigating agencies for their handling of evidence collection.
A significant portion of the evidence was reportedly questioned, which Kombo indicated compromised the credibility of the case. He pointed out that the questionable methods used to gather this evidence further weakened the prosecution’s argument.
