Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited is seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer to steer the organization through evolving financial services landscapes.
In an advert on Friday, the lender said it was looking for a competent and well-equipped individual to fill the position.
“This role offers the chance to influence major strategic decisions, drive transformational changes and lead a talented team dedicated to setting industry standards in financial services,” the advert said.
Stanbic Bank Uganda is part of the Standard Bank Group, Africa’s largest bank measured by footprint and assets.
The Group has on-the-ground representation in 20 African countries.
In Uganda, Stanbic Bank Uganda is the largest subsidiary and has a wide network of branches that have been and continue to offer a wide spectrum of financial services for the past 30 years.

Upon getting hired, the chief executive officer will be responsible for providing overall strategic leadership and management of Stanbic Bank Uganda.
Moreover, they will manage and influence key stakeholder relationships, lead competitive business practices and lead the bank teams.

Key responsibilities
The CEO will be expected to oversee strategic execution by ensuring that strategies, plans and budgets of segments and products contribute to the long-term sustainability of the regulated businesses and are designed to operate within the governance and risk appetite.
Also, they will establish and operate effective governance processes to ensure compliant management of Stanbic Bank.
Furthermore, they will be expected to Lead client onboarding across business lines in Uganda as the primary decision maker. This is meant to enable the business verticals to meet their objectives while ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

He or she will oversee financial management and lead the balance sheet management by coordinating the management of assets and liabilities to earn adequate returns for Stanbic Bank Uganda.
Lastly, the successful candidate will take accountability and responsibility for the people architecture across the full people and culture value chain.
