A 64-year-old woman was found brutally murdered with eyes gouged out, hair shaved, and head cut off in a bathing shed behind her house.
The victim identified as Mama Margaret Auma’s headless body was found naked and her head lying in a pool of blood at her home in Kabonyo village in Kakangutu sub-location, Kabondo Kasipul constituency in Homa Bay County.
Mama Margaret lived with her husband Shadrack Okoyo and their grandchildren. Moreover, her grandchildren discovered her lifeless body and informed their grandfather who had visited another homestead.
According to the husband, the deceased lived peacefully with her neighbors and did not have problems with anyone.
He further noted that she was a humble woman who did not like controversies adding that whoever murdered his wife must have planned before execution.
“As a family, we would want to get justice in this murder incident. Let the police move with speed, arrest, and charge those who were involved in the killing,” Okoyo said.
The area assistant chief Kenyatta Olel, said it looked like the elderly woman was tortured before she was killed.

Police officers have not yet arrested anyone linked to the barbaric murder of mama Margaret. The administrator reported that the killers disappeared with weapons used for killing the elderly woman.
“Many people are wondering why the woman was killed since she used to pray for the sick and offer intercession to them,” he added.
Nonetheless, Homa Bay county police boss Samson Kinne has said they have launched a manhunt to find those involved in the gruesome murder.
The police boss further urged residents with information about the suspects to inform them as murder cases were becoming rampant in Kabondo Kasipul.
The body of the deceased was moved to Rachuonyo Level 4 Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
