In a shocking and tragic turn of events, vibrant and aspiring Instagram model, Starlet Wahu, was found dead in an Airbnb located in the South B area.
A CCTV footage obtained from the scene showed Wahu arriving in an apartment located in the estate in the company of an unidentified man.
Dressed in an orange dress, a blue denim jacket and heels, everything between her and her companion seemed well at their arrival as they waited to take a lift from the basement to the fourth floor in the building.
At the time, Wahu was carrying a black handbag on her left shoulder while the man was carrying a bag and appeared to be scrolling his mobile phone.
However, the popular socialite was later found dead sparking speculation on what could have transpired between the two.
The man now stands at the center of a chilling investigation into the heinous crime that claimed the life of the young model.
Detectives launch probe on Starlet Wahu death
He is currently held in custody at the Industrial Area police station pending investigations and processing.
Authorities have secured a 21-day detention period to facilitate a thorough examination of the evidence and to delve into the intricate details surrounding the untimely demise of Starlet Wahu.
During the investigations at the crime scene, Police discovered, among others, used condoms, the victim’s clothes, and drugs.

In addition, the authorities a found a used HIV testing kit that indicated that test was negative and blood stains.
Detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) had worked on a hunting mission for the man captured in the video and successfully found him through his phone number.

He was later found at the Mbagathi Hospital, while undergoing treatment for what appeared to be a stab wound.
The sequence of events remains unclear as to whether the man inflicted the stab wounds on himself.
As the investigation unfolds, questions abound about the relationship between Starlet Wahu and the main suspect, were also rife.
The 21-day detention period looms large, promising a relentless pursuit of justice as investigators work tirelessly to untangle the web of circumstances surrounding the murder of the Instagram model.
