A man has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for being a member of a terror group.
The High Court in Isiolo slapped Osman Lado Gale with the sentence after finding him guilty on all 12 counts he had been charged with.
Lado was arrested On March 28, 2017, after he was found with a mobile phone at Isiolo Police Station
The mobile phone contained different videos.
Police said the footage were articles for use in the commission of an act of terror.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution said that the offense is contrary to section 24 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2012.
On the first count, he will serve 15 years, 30 years for count two, 15 years for count three to nine, 12 years for count 12 and 25 years for counts 10 and 11.
All the sentences will run concurrently meaning he will only be in jail for 30 years.
