Esther Akoth famously known as Akothee on Sunday October 1 revealed that she had been going through emotional abuse, a situation which led her to seek therapy.
The Kenyan Musician and businessperson took to her social media explaining that she has not been doing well for the past two months.
“I never knew about emotional abuse, until I started therapy,” she said.
“I have come out of a very dangerous zone, and I have been healing in private, I am on my 2nd month of therapy,” Akothee added.
She stated that she suffered trauma because of emotional abuse, adding that she discovered some truth and ugly things which left her unable to eat and sleep.
“The trauma I went through after finding out the truth and some ugly stuff that left me shaking. Went days without food and no sleep, questioning and answering myself,” read part of her statement.

Moreover, Akothee revealed that at one point she lost energy, her appetite, sleep and had panic attacks, a situation she says led her to therapy.
“I was in a bad state of mind that got me pay Kes50,000 per hour for an hour session with the first therapist, I was shaking and lost energy, appetite, sleep, panic attacks and even lost motivation in doing things I loved to do,” she wrote.

Additionally, she noted that she started by monitoring her behaviors where she realized that she was breaking down quite often for no reason and had become emotionally unstable.
“Even just a simple interview I had become emotionally unstable, and I couldn’t put a finger on it,” she added.
Nevertheless, the singer asked bloggers to give her some space to deal with her current situation until she is ready to talk about it.
“Please bloggers I know this is some sweet gossip, but I ask you to give me some private moment. Allow me to go through this and once everything is okey and I am stable enough to talk about it, I will be back with good news,” Akothee stated.
Lavish Wedding
Akothee married her Swiss husband Schweizer dubbed the name ‘Omosh’ on April 10 this year in a lavish wedding in Kenya.
However, they had plans to have her second wedding in Switzerland where when asked by one of her fans in her Instagram, she jokingly said that she separated from her husband immediately after their first wedding.

Furthermore, the musician in August said she will be charging Ksh.50,000 to give details about her love life with her husband Omosh.
Akothee also noted that her relationship was off social media, and no one should ask about her husband on her page.
“Don’t ask for my husband on this page, he is not a product on sale. My relationship is officially off social media, if you want to watch pay for it,” she said.
