TikTok fans following popular Tik Toker Nyako were on Thursday, November 2, treated to a surprise after the Germany-based content creator hosted former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for a live session.
The two exchanged pleasantries inside what appeared to be Raila’s office in Nairobi.
In her live session on TikTok, Nyako introduced herself as a philanthropist, an influencer and a news reporter.
At the time, Raila – who appeared cheered up – posed a question to Nyako asking whether the TikToker was married.
The question cracked up Nyako who in turn responded that she was not married but had kids, adding that she was “unlucky”.
Thousands of reactions and comments streamed in at the time with followers expressing their love for the long-standing politician and Nyako.
Later into the session, Nyako asked Raila to address the TikTok fans. He equally expressed his love for the Kenyans on Tik Tok and affirmed his delight in having met Nyako.
“I am here with a lady who has come from Germany who tells me that she is a TikTok champion,” Odinga stated.

“I love TikTok and I love you people. I am very happy with your acquaintance, and I hope we can walk together aluta continua.”
The video would later go viral hours after the session with Kenyans marveling at the rare sight of the politician on TikTok.
Nyako- Tik Tok Lady who battled alcoholism
Nyako, who is based in Germany, also revealed that she was in the country for the launch of a foundation.
In an era where TikTok’s popularity has been on the rise in Kenya, Nyako has been among the standout content creators on the video sharing platform.
So far, she has over 200,000 followers and is known to make a significant impact through her channel apart from engaging the audience.
On several occasions, Nyako has chipped in to help Kenyans at various points of need through the fundraisers that bring together contributions from various users on the platform.
In September, for instance, Nyako pushed a fundraiser that helped to bail out former TV reporter Kimani Mbugua who was at the time hopeless.

However, his TikTok activities have not been without controversies. Her activities and persona in her content has won her both foes and friends.
Known to be candid, Nyako has demonstrated her determination to face trolls and bullies- often calling popular persons out. In addition, her candid demeanor is also manifested in the way she opens up about her not so good past.
Through her TikTok sessions, Nyako has opened up on her past struggles with alcoholism before reforming. On regular sessions, she takes time to advise young girls on the platform on the perils of immorality and drug abuse.
Currently, Nyako has announced that she is a mother of three.
