The Crystal Asige Foundation has announced a new scholarship intake for persons with disabilities (PWDs) across Kenya.
The program, offered in partnership with the European Business Institute of Luxembourg, follows a highly competitive first intake that attracted more than 4,000 applications and admitted 850 learners.
New intake will run for 13 weeks and will be delivered virtually.
Crystal Asige Scholarship Demand in First Intake
The scholarship program’s initial rollout recorded interest from persons with disabilities across the country, highlighting a growing demand for accessible education and skills training opportunities.

Over the 4,000 applicants, 850 beneficiaries were selected and enrolled, indicating strong uptake for a relatively new initiative.
Programme will cover a range of courses aimed at equipping participants with relevant, market-driven competencies.
Training areas include Business and Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Python, Communication, and Inclusive Education.
The Foundation is offering both fully funded and partially funded scholarship options under the programme designed to widen access while accommodating different financial levels for eligible applicants.
The scholarships target Kenyan citizens aged 18 years and above who are persons living with disabilities. However, previous beneficiaries of the programme are not eligible to apply for the new intake.
Eligibility and Application Process
Applications for the new intake are now open, with the Foundation calling on eligible individuals to apply before the limited slots are filled.
To qualify, applicants must be Kenyan citizens, aged 18 years and above, and persons living with disabilities. The application process is being conducted online via Google Docs.
To apply, candidates must click on the official Google Docs application link provided by the Foundation and complete all required fields.
The form requires applicants to provide:
- Names of applicants as it appears on identification documents
- Email Address
- Phone Number
Applicants must also indicate whether they have previously received the EBU/CAF Hardship Scholarship Award by selecting either Yes or No.
In addition, candidates are also required to select their preferred scholarship option, choosing between fully funded and partially funded opportunities.
Students who previously received EBU/CAF scholarship allowance are only eligible for partial scholarship.
Required Supporting Documents
As part of the application, candidates must upload identification and verification documents, including:
- A copy of their National ID
- A valid disability card or certificate issued by the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD)
Incomplete submissions may not be considered during the selection process.
The Foundation has indicated that the selection process will focus on identifying candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and demonstrate a readiness to benefit from the training opportunity.
