What Parents and Candidates Should Know
Parents should familiarise themselves with the assessment schedule and ensure their children are prepared for each examination day.
Candidates should also follow the instructions issued by their schools and examination officials, particularly regarding the order of papers and the time allocated to each subject.
KNEC has stated that no extra time should be allowed beyond the prescribed duration, except where specific instructions for a paper provide otherwise. Supervisors and invigilators must also ensure candidates receive personalised mark sheets with their correct names and assessment numbers.
Parents of candidates using Braille, large-print papers, or other specialised examination formats should check the relevant section of the timetable because some papers have different finishing times.
Parents, teachers, and candidates can access the complete timetable, instructions, and guidelines on the Kenya National Examinations Council website.
