The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its online application portal for tourism and hospitality courses offered at Kenya Utalii College (KUC).
In a notice on March 13, KUCCPS said form four leavers seeking to pursue programmes at the globally respected hospitality and tourism training institution can now submit their applications through the placement portal.
“KUCCPS has opened its online application system for 13 diploma and certificate courses offered at KUC, marking a major milestone towards enhancing equitable, fair and efficient access to the world-respected hospitality and tourism training institution,” read part of the announcement.
The application window will remain open until April 1, 2026, and targets candidates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination in 2025, as well as those from previous years.
KUCCPS Opens Applications for Kenya Utalii College Tourism and Hospitality Courses
Applicants can choose from the following programmes:

Kenya Utalii College was established 47 years ago and has grown into one of the leading institutions for hospitality and tourism training.
Over the years, the college has trained more than 60,000 graduates from across the world, many of whom continue to serve in Kenya’s and the global hospitality and tourism industry.
The institution, which operates under the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, previously admitted students directly until last year.
With the new development, the college becomes the latest institution outside the Ministry of Education to join the placement system run by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), following in the footsteps of 155 other colleges.

How to Apply
- To access the Student Portal, visit the KUCCPS student portal using this link: students.kuccps.net
- Click on the “Login” tab and enter your KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password. Note: Your password is either your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE Index Number.
- Once logged in, click on “Kenya Utalii College Programmes” to view all available courses and their minimum entry requirements. Applicants can only apply for courses if they meet the minimum requirements.
- After reviewing the options, decide on your preferred courses and note their Programme Codes.
- Start Application by clicking on the “Kenya Utalii College Application” tab, then select “Apply Now.”
- Input the Programme Codes in the form provided, arranging them in your order of priority from your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).
- After entering all your preferred Programme Codes, wait for the system to fetch the programme details before clicking Submit.
- After submission, you will be required to pay KSh 1,500. The portal will then display the payment instructions.
