The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its portal for the second revision of Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) programmes.
Students, including those who were unsuccessful in the previous application round, can now make a fresh application in medical-related courses.
“Another round of application for KMTC programmes is open! 21 courses available! Log in to KUCCPS portal and apply before April 3, 2026,” read the KUCCPS statement.
KUCCPS has stated that the portal is open for Form Four leavers from the 2000–2025 cohorts who are eligible to submit applications and will be closed on April 3, 2026.
Eligibility for KMTC Courses
The second revision is open to students who completed Form Four between 2000 and 2025.
Both first-time applicants and those who were not placed in earlier KMTC admission rounds are eligible to apply.

To apply, students must log in to the KUCCPS portal, select their preferred KMTC courses, and submit their applications before the April 3 deadline.
The process is entirely online, ensuring accessibility for students across Kenya.

- Diploma in Optometry
- Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology
- Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Diploma in Medical Engineering
- Diploma in Medical Social Work
- Diploma in Community Health
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
- Diploma in Mortuary Science
- Diploma in Health Promotion
Certificate Programmes:
- Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology
- Certificate in Nutrition & Dietetics
- Certificate in Medical Engineering
- Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine
- Certificate in Public Health
- Certificate in Community Health Assistant
- Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician
- Certificate in Health Insurance Management

How to Apply
- To access the Student Portal, visit the KUCCPS student portal using this link: students.kuccps.net
- Click on the “Login” tab and enter your KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password. Note: Your password is either your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE Index Number.
- Once logged in, click on “KMTC Programmes” to view all available courses and their minimum entry requirements.
Applicants can only apply for courses if they meet the minimum requirements. - After reviewing the options, decide on your preferred courses and note their Programme Codes.
- Start the application by clicking on the “KMTC Application” tab, then select “Apply Now.”
- Input the Programme Codes in the form provided, arranging them in your order of priority from your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).
- After entering all your preferred Programme Codes, wait for the system to fetch the programme details, then click Submit.
- After submission, you will be required to pay Ksh1,500. The portal will then display the payment instructions.
