The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened applications for placement to diploma and certificate programmes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake.
In an announcement on March 3, KUCCPS stated that the placement opportunity targets Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) students who have not yet secured admission to KMTC.
The applications will also include students who applied in January 2026 but were not placed.
“KUCCPS has re-opened application for placement to diploma and certificate programmes offered at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for March 2026 intake,” read the announcement.
The deadline for applications is March 13, 2026.

Certificate Courses
For certificate-level programmes, students can choose from: Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology, Certificate in Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Certificate in Nutrition & Dietetics, and Certificate in Medical Engineering.
Students can also apply for a Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, a Certificate in Public Health, a Certificate in Community Health Assistant, a Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician, and a Certificate in Health Insurance Management.

How to Apply
- To access the Student Portal, visit the KUCCPS student portal using this link: students.kuccps.net
- Click on the “Login” tab and enter your KCSE Index Number, KCSE Year, and Password. Note: Your password is either your Birth Certificate Number or your KCPE Index Number.
- Once logged in, click on “KMTC Programmes” to view all available courses and their minimum entry requirements.
Applicants can only apply for courses if they meet the minimum requirements. - After reviewing the options, decide on your preferred courses and note their Programme Codes.
- Start the application by clicking on the “KMTC Application” tab, then select “Apply Now.”
- Input the Programme Codes in the form provided, arranging them in your order of priority from your most preferred course (No. 1) to your least preferred course (No. 4).
- After entering all your preferred Programme Codes, wait for the system to fetch the programme details, then click Submit.
- After submission, you will be required to pay Ksh1,500. The portal will then display the payment instructions.
