Italy Announces Fully Funded Scholarships: How to Apply

Italy has announced the allocation of fully funded 15 scholarships for international students for the 2026–2027 academic year, with applications due by April 20, 2026.

According to a statement by the Italian Embassy in Pakistan dated March 18, the University “G. d’Annunzio” offers 5 scholarships reserved for students enrolling in Joint Programs or INGENIUM Pathways, and 10 scholarships for students enrolling in specific Bachelor’s and master’s programs.

The offered programs include Economics and Finance, Psychology of Well-Being and Performance, Planetary Sciences, Health Professions of Rehabilitation Sciences, Building Engineering, Cultural Heritage Management, Computational Cognitive Science, Economics and Management, and Legal Sciences for Internationalisation and Business Innovation.

Transfers from other Italian universities are not permitted.

Qualifications for the Italy Scholarship for International Studies

To qualify for the scholarship, one must hold a valid secondary education qualification for bachelor’s programs or a relevant academic degree for master’s programs.

They must also provide an updated Curriculum Vitae in accompany of a motivation letter.

Additionally, interested candidates must present a course selection form and a valid passport.

Applicants must also meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements.

Further, foreign documents must be accompanied by sworn Italian translations and verified through Italian diplomatic channels or ENIC-NARIC/CIMEA certification.

How to Apply and the Selection Process

Applicants must register online via the Ud’A Online Portal to obtain login credentials and submit their applications. Late or incorrectly submitted applications will be excluded.

Italy noted that the selection process will be based exclusively on qualifications, with a total of 100 points: 60 for academic qualifications and 40 for the CV and motivation letter.

However, in case of a tie, the scholarship will first be awarded to the younger candidate, and if still tied, to a female candidate.

Successful applicants will be notified personally only after official enrollment at the University.

Italy Scholarship Benefits to the Students

In Italy, the scholarships are fully funded and include a €6,000 financial contribution for each selected student.

Qualified students will also receive full exemption from university tuition fees, except for a regional contribution and a stamp duty fee.

• Assistance with navigating the university portal (MYPAGE Ud’A),
• Personalized support for students with disabilities or learning differences, including educational materials and psychological support,
• Italian language courses to aid in daily and academic life
