Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported that at least four people were killed after a Russian FPV drone struck a civilian minibus in Nikopol.
In a statement on April 7, Zelenskyy said seven people were hospitalized following the attack, while nine others received treatment at the scene.
He described the strike as part of continued attacks targeting civilians in frontline communities.
“Seven people are currently in the hospital after a Russian FPV drone struck an ordinary city minibus in Nikopol. Another nine received assistance at the scene. Tragically, four people were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones,” read part of the statement.
The Ukrainian President also referenced a recent strike on a market in Nikopol that left five people dead and 28 others injured.
He further cited ongoing attacks in Kherson, where civilians face frequent drone strikes.
Zelenskyy called for stronger international action against Russia, warning that continued attacks on civilians pose a broader global threat.
He said that Russia must be stopped immediately and decisively, through coordination and by strengthening one another in the protection of life.

Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba said that the strike was a deliberate Russian terror against peaceful cities and civilians.
Further, a Russian overnight attack on Odesa killed three people, including a child, and left at least 10 others injured, with additional victims possibly trapped under rubble.
He added that the strikes targeted residential areas, critical infrastructure, and government buildings.
A high-rise apartment and several private homes were damaged, while fires broke out in homes, a dormitory, a children’s facility, and vehicles.
Elsewhere, Russian shelling in Kharkiv Oblast injured six people as the city of Kharkiv and 12 nearby settlements came under fire, local officials said.
In Donetsk Oblast, at least one person was killed and 10 others wounded, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast also saw Russian attacks leave five men injured, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported.

Failed Easter Ceasefire Plan
On April 6, Zelenskyy said Ukraine had repeatedly offered Russia a ceasefire, including for Easter, but Moscow has shown no willingness to halt its military operations.
He added that Russia is unlikely to choose peace voluntarily and would only consider ending the war under significant financial pressure.
“We have repeatedly offered Russia a ceasefire at least for Easter. But for them, all times are alike, and nothing is sacred. If Russia can afford this war, it will not choose peace willingly,” he said.

Zelenskyy noted that the global oil market is currently fragile due to uncertainties surrounding Iran, which could allow oil-producing countries, including Russia, to profit.
He said Ukraine’s drone and missile strikes are limiting Russia’s ability to benefit, and thanked international partners for maintaining sanctions, stopping tankers, and restricting advanced equipment supplies to Russia.
Zelenskyy said that all profits Russia earns from higher oil prices are being used to fund the war, stressing that limiting Russian oil exports is crucial.
He added that Ukraine is prepared to respond in kind if Russia stops strikes on its energy infrastructure, noting that the proposal has been conveyed to Moscow through the United States.
