Governance and political analyst Professor Fred Ogola was among individuals arrested in Nairobi CBD while protesting on Monday, August 26.
In a 13 second video recorded while inside a police car, Ogola shared with the public that he had been arrested while collecting signatures for the amendment of the constitution of Kenya.
With a staggering 24 academic certificates to his name, the professor is known for his unyielding opinions, and he never shies away from controversy.
He has graced major television screens in Kenya as a panelist and political analyst, continuously adding chapters to his already multifaceted career. However, his career has not been all rosy.

24 Academic Certificates and Other Qualifications
The professor holds one Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD), two Master’s Degrees, 5 Undergraduate Degrees and 16 other certifications.
Ogola graduated from Catholic University of Eastern Africa with a master’s in strategic management.
Additionally, he holds a Master’s in Management Science from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Also, he holds an Innovation PhD in Management Science and Innovation with a focus on Strategy and Execution from the same institution.
His undergraduate degrees include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Social Sciences- Psychology and Economics from Uganda Martyrs University, a BA in Philosophy from Pontificia Università Urbaniana, Rome Italy.
He also holds a BA in Theology- Tangaza College University, a BA in Urban Planning and City Policy from Uganda Martyrs University.
Moreover, the professor proudly holds 16 certifications in Strategy and Corporate Governance from IFC-World Bank, where he serves as a Trainer of Trainers.

The Career of Professor Fred Ogola
Fred Ogola is a former Chief Executive Officer of the African Health and Economic Institute, Director of the Institute of Strategy and Competitiveness.
He is a part-time professor at IESE Business School and holds a visiting professor Position at the University of St. Gallen.
Also, he is a former Senior Lecturer of Strategy and Decision Making at Strathmore University.
His termination from Strathmore University came as a blow as he was earning Ksh100,000 per month from the role.
The institution according to Ogola fired him for securing another job a different university in the Democratic Republic of Congo, while the professor maintained that his LinkedIn account had been hacked and he had not received any such appointment.
The university also terminated Ogola’s contract for inviting the media to a school event without the authority of the management.
