ADAK leadership Change
Peninah Wahome is serving as the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya.
Her appointment as the acting CEO followed the exit of the former CEO, Sarah Idieva Shibutse, who had been appointed in 2022 for a three-year term.
However, in 2024, ADAK’s board placed Sarah Shibutse on compulsory leave following allegations related to procurement and financial management irregularities.
Before she was appointed acting CEO, Peninah Wahome served as a Director of Standards and Compliance at ADAK.
