Kericho County Announces Jobs for Applicants with D in KCSE, Diploma and Degree

The County government of Kericho has advertised various job opportunities across different cadres.

In an advertisement on Wednesday, February 26, the County government called on qualified applicants to apply.

“Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government act no 17 of 2012 the County Government of Kericho invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following positions,” read the Job advert.

Among the advertised positions is Office Assistant, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and supporting administrative tasks.

Additionally, an Administrator III role is available to oversee departmental operations and communication. Other clerical and administrative roles include Clerical Officer II, tasked with record management and correspondence.

The county is also looking for specialists in education and culture, including a Library Assistant II to manage library resources and assist users, a Cultural Officer II to promote local heritage, and a Social Welfare Officer III to support vulnerable groups through community programs.

In the technical sector, vacancies include Youth Polytechnic Instructors in Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, responsible for equipping students with essential skills.

In the legal sector, the county is seeking a County Solicitor and a Legal Officer II to provide legal counsel, represent the county in legal matters, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Positions in the healthcare have also been advertised, with multiple openings, including Dentist, Pharmacist, Nursing Officer, Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse, Enrolled Nurse III, Medical Laboratory Technologist, Assistant Public Health Officer, and Registered Clinical Officer.

Other health-related roles include Assistant Health Records and Information Officer, Pharmaceutical Technologist, Radiographer III, Nutrition & Dietetics Technologist III, and Physiotherapist.

For transport and logistics, the county has advertised the Driver III position, responsible for official transport and vehicle maintenance.

Furthermore, high-level positions in financial and risk management are available, including Director of Revenue Mobilization and Management and Director of Risk Management, Compliance, and Audit Services, responsible for revenue collection strategies and financial oversight.

Additionally, medical support roles include Assistant Occupational Therapist III, Orthopedic Trauma Technologist III, Orthopedic Technologist III, and Dental Technologist II, all focused on rehabilitative and orthopedic care.

Some of the positions that require the least academic qualifications and are open for application include Office Assistant III, which requires a minimum grade of D plain, and Clerical Officer, which requires a minimum grade of C-

Further, applicants must attach original scanned National Identity cards/passport, curriculum professional certificates and other testimonials on or before Tuesday 18 March, 2025.

Shortlisted Applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter (6) six of the Constitution.

Applicants must provide: 

(a) A valid tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA):

(b) A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)

(c) A valid Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and

(d) A valid Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRS)
