The Public Service Board of Nandi County has announced 595 vacancies in the County Public Service.
In an advert on Wednesday, October 16, the Board said the openings are in five departments including Health, Transport and Public Works, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise Development, Agriculture and Cooperative Development and the Department of Sports, Youth Affairs, Culture and Social Welfare.
“Nandi County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions on permanent and pensionable terms,” the advert reads in part.
Among the openings advertised by the Nandi County Board are some 403 vacancies in 32 different designations in the Department of Health.
The available positions include Assistant Health Records Information Management Officer III with 48 openings, Health Records Information Management Assistant III with 18, and Health Records and Information Management Officer with 4 positions.
There are also 3 vacancies for Assistant Occupational Therapist III and 22 for Assistant Physiotherapist III.
In the community health sector, 61 positions are available for Community Health Assistant III, 16 for Assistant Community Health Officer III, and 25 for Community Health Officer III.
For medical engineering, the county has advertised openings for a Medical Engineering Technologist I, 10 for Medical Engineering Technologist III, and four Medical Engineering Technician III.
The medical laboratory sector has two vacant positions for Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist and 17 for Medical Laboratory Officer.
Additionally, there are 8 openings for Medical Social Worker.
Transport & Public Works
In addition, the board has announced 87 vacancies in 22 designations in the department of Transport & Public Works.

Superintending Electrical Engineer
Electrical Engineer I and Material Technician
There are 2 positions for Engineer II [Civil/Structural], Welding Artisan and Electrical Artisan I.
The board has also advertised six positions for Assistant Road Inspectors and Mechanical Artisan I, 3 for Chainman, 26 for Driver (Tipper Trucks) and 27 Plant Operators.

Trade, Tourism & Enterprise Development
There 27 advertised positions under the Trade and Tourism Department including one post for a Principal Trade Development Officer, Trade Development Officer I, Enterprise Development Officer, Weights and Measures Officer, Wildlife Officer I, Wildlife Officer II, Compliance and Licensing Officer I – Alcoholic Drinks Control Unit, and Senior Industrial Development Officer II.
Further, there are two positions for Weights and Measures Assistant and Tourism Officer I, and another 3 for, Tourism Officer II and Compliance and Licensing Officer II – Alcoholic.
The board has announced 5 positions for Trade Development Officer II and 4 for Enterprise Development Officer II.
Available Jobs at Nandi County Agriculture Department
Nandi County seeks to hire one Senior Cooperative Officer, Mechanical Technician, Assistant Mechanical Technician and Veterinary Officer.
The board has also advertised two positions for Cooperatives Officer I, Agricultural Engineer II, Cooperatives Officer II, Assistant Leather Development and Cooperative Auditor
Additionally, the County seeks to recruit 22 Agricultural Officer, 21 Assistant Agricultural Officer II, six Plant Operator/Tractor Driver and three Livestock Production Officer.
Sports
The board has also announced one post for a Principal Gender and Welfare Officer, Community Development Officer Job Group, Gender Officer, Music Trainer and Assistant Sports Officer.
There are also two other positions for a Culture Officer and Sports Officer.
“Any form of Canvasing shall lead to automatic disqualification. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted,” reads another part of the advert.

How to Apply
Interested and suitable candidates who meet the requirements for the positions advertised should submit hard copies of their application(s) with detailed CV.
The CV must at the minimum provide details of the current employer if employed, contacts of three referees familiar with the applicant’s professional and work record.
Copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials and National Identity Card should be submitted to the Nandi County Public Service Board in Kapsabet on or before 5.00 pm. on November 13, 2024.
