The County Government of Kiambu has announced mass job vacancies for qualified Kenyans to apply.
In a notice on October 11, 2024, the Kiambu County Public Service Board announced 1,264 vacancies spread out in two departments, calling on candidates to submit applications.

According to the notice, the vacancies are spread out in the Department of Health Services, and the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
“Pursuant to the above constitutional and legal provision, the Board invites applications from suitably qualified persons who wish to be considered for the positions listed below vacant positions,” read part of the notice.

Under the Department of Health Services, the county announced the following vacancies:
General Cadres (1,032)

Clinical Officers (53)
Nurses (45)
Mortuary (22)
Pharmaceutical and Dental Specialists (8)

At the same time, 44 vacancies were advertised in the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries department for interested candidates to apply. The vacancies are spread as follows:
Assistant Animal Health Officer III (30)
Agricultural Officer- Degree (4)
Assistant Agricultural Officer III- Diploma (4)
Veterinary Officer (3)
Superintendent Engineer Agriculture Engineer III- Degree (2)
Director- Veterinary Services (1)

The county government further listed details of the employment opportunities noting that the engagement terms of the jobs is local contract.
In addition, the Public Service Board said that the salary scale and commuter allowance will be in accordance with the regulations of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
House and leave allowances, on the hand, will be enumerated as per sub-county of deployment and the applicable rates respectively.
At the same time, the county highlighted that successful candidates will be eligible for listed benefits upon confirmation of terms, and in line with the existing policies.
These include Comprehensive medical cover and mortgage & car loan scheme.
“The Board is committed to implementing the provisions of the Constitution – Chapter 232 (1) on fair competition and merit, representation of Kenya’s diverse communities and affording equal employment opportunities to men and women, members of all ethnic groups and persons with disabilities. We; therefore, encourage persons with Disabilities, the marginalized and the minorities to apply,” the notice adds.

Interested candidates have been cautioned not to fall victim to fraudsters and impersonators who solicit money with a promise to secure them jobs in the County.

The Board has warned that it will bear no responsibility for any personal loss arising from such unlawful dealings, asking victims to report such cases to the Police.
Also, canvassing in any form will lead to automatic disqualification.

Makueni County Jobs
Meanwhile, the County Government of Makueni has announced 8 vacancies spread out in different offices and department.
Makueni County’s Public Service Board announced vacancies in the Office of the Attorney (2), Office of the County Secretary and Head of Public Service (4), and the Department of Finance & Socio-Economic Planning (2).
In the Office of the County Secretary and Head of Public Service, the county is looking to hire a Driver, Human Resource Assistant III, Principal Administrative Secretary-CEC Affairs, and Assistant Director, Public Communications.
Director-Litigation and Legal Officer-Litigation are the vacancies listed under the Office of the Attorney.
On the other hand, Assistant Director-Supply Chain Management Services, and Assistant Director- Financial Services are the vacancies listed under the Department of Finance & Socio-Economic Planning.
All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO, County Public Service Board on or before 5:00 pm on Friday 25th October 2024.
