The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced over 400 jobs in various government departments.
In an advertisement on Tuesday, September 19, the Commission invited applications for among others 315 civil registration officers in the State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services.
The civil registration officers will work in the department charged with the mandate of issuing passports, Identity cards, and other forms of registration services.
According to the advertisement, successful candidates will have benefits of employees under job grade CSG 11.
To apply, PSC directed interested candidates to send their applications online through the website or through the PSC jobs portal.
The openings came amid the government’s efforts to streamline efficiency in delivery of government services to the citizens.
In the recent past, the Ministry of Interior has heightened efforts to clear backlogs of citizens waiting to acquire passports and IDs. Also Read:

Additionally, the state has embarked on a process to switch to a digital ID named Maisha Card set to be rolled in different phases.
All applications, the statement notes, should be done on or before close of business October 15.
Senior Principal Laboratory Technologist
Additionally, the PSC readvertised 10 vacancies in the position of Senior Principal Laboratory Technologists to work in the State Department of Internal Security and National Administration.
The job falls under job grade CSG 7 with benefits of up to Ksh 119,730 salary and other allowances.
Vacancy for Land information management officers
Further, the PSC advertised 10 vacancies for Land management to work under the State Department for Land and Physical Planning.

Other jobs advertised by the PSC include Valuation Assistant Three (31 positions), Senior Principal Lecturer (5), Research Officers (3).
Similarly, all applications should be tendered on or before October 15, as per the PSC. In addition, application will be done through PSC’s website or jobs portal.
