The judiciary has advertised 961 job vacancies for Kenyans across 30 counties.
In a statement on Monday, September 11, the Judiciary noted that these jobs are in the first Phase of Ajira Programme under government funding.
According to the judiciary, this programme aims to introduce young people to digital and digitally enabled work as well as bridging the gap between skills demand and jobs
“The program aims to introduce young people to digital and digitally enabled work and provide the tools, training and mentorship needed for young people to work and earn an income with dignity,” the statement reads in part.
The job advert targets experienced agents in 79 court stations who will serve for a period of between 5 to 54 days depending on the caseload statistics for assigned stations.

Jobs Advertised
Moreover, the job categories advertised by the judiciary include Digitization Agents (Data Entry), Digitization Agents (Scanner Operators), and Digitization Team Leaders/Quality Assurance.
Digitization Agents -Data Entry
The digitization data entry agent will be responsible for receiving files from the In-charge of registries, preparing of physical files to include unbinding, document sorting, page separation, listing, pagina- tion, and indexing, and binding the documents to their original state and order.
Furthermore, to qualify for this post, one must:
- Have a KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of C-
- Have a certificate in computer studies
- Come from the region (court station) specified in the advert
- Have previous experience in Data Entry
Digitization Agents – Scanner Operators
The digitization scanner operators will be responsible for scanning all prepared documents, renaming the scanned images appropriately, undertaking quality check for completed scanned files, saving the scanned image onto a Network Storage System and uploading the scanned images to CTS.
To qualify for this position, a candidate.
- Must Have a KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of C-
- Have a certificate in computer studies
- Poses the ability to operate a Scanner
- Must be living close to the court station (Desirable for ease of movement to court)
- Have previous experience as a scanning operator
Digitization Team Leaders/Quality Assurance
Additionally, the team leader will be receiving files from the registry in-Charge, allocating duties and responsibilities to the team, undertaking quality checks for scanned documents and approve for uploading.
Likewise, the team leader will ensure the file is returned to its original state, prepare attendance list as well as the final report for submission to the station leadership.

To qualify for the post, a candidate requires a KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of C-, a Diploma certificate in a related field, a certificate in computer studies, proof of leadership role in digital work and reside close to the court station.
