The government has announced 1,902 jobs for interested persons across the country in different state departments.
According to an advert on Tuesday, October 31, the Public Service Commission (PSC) indicated that the jobs cut across different categories in10 different state departments.
Moreover, the commission invited interested persons to submit their applications online through the PSC website.
“Applications are invited from qualified persons for the positions shown. Interested and qualified persons are required to make their application online through the commission’s website,” the notice read in part.
Open Positions in Govt
The highest number of vacancies announced was in the State Department for Internal security and National Administration, which sought 900 clerical officers.
Also, the Kithure Kindiki-led ministry has 800 vacant positions for qualified Senior Support Staff.
Additionally, the interior ministry noted that it had a vacant position for a Government Chemist.
On the other hand, the State department for Gender and Affirmative Action announced that it had a vacant position for one Assistant Gender Director.
The State Department of Transport also announced a vacancy for a Director, Roads and Rail transport Services.

Jobs in Trade, Tourism
In addition, the State department for Trade, led by CS Rebecca Mino announced a vacancy for a qualified Director of Internal Trade.
The State Department for Tourism, led by CS Alfred Mutua announced two vacant positions for Assistant Director, Tourism Research, policy and Innovation.
Also, Mutua asked interested and qualified applicants to apply for two vacant positions for Assistant Director, Tourism Development and Promotion officers.
Moreover, the tourism ministry indicated that it had an additional vacancy for an Assistant Director, Tourism Investment and Finance officer.
Interested applicants can also apply for the 58 vacant positions for Land valuers under the state Department for Lands and Physical Planning led by CS Zachariah Njeru
The State Department for the ASAL and Regional Development announced a vacancy for the Director of Regional Development.

Ministry of Social Protection Vacancies
The State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizens Affairs announced 50 vacant positions for Children’s officers and 20 vacancies for Assistant Social Development Officers.
Additionally, the ministry asked qualified applicants to apply for 30 Social Development Officers positions.
On the other hand, the ministry of Diaspora affairs announced 7 vacant positions for Director of Foreign Service and 8 positions for the Deputy Director of foreign service.
Also, it announced 11 positions for Assistant Director of Foreign Service.
Moreover, the State Department for Shipping and Marine noted that it had 8 vacancies for Shipping and Maritime officers.
How to Apply
Interested and qualified persons were asked to submit their applications online through the PSC website at www.publicservice.go.ke or at the job’s portal at www.psckjobs.go.ke
Notably, the commission stated that the deadline for applications is November 21, 2023, at 5:00 pm.
