The Technical University of Mombasa on Tuesday, November 26 announced various vacancies for qualified and interested candidates.
In an advertisement, the university outlined the qualifications and asked individuals to send their applications before the deadline.
“The Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) is a fully-fledged Public University in Kenya situated in Mom besa County with a student population of 18,622 and staff complement of 581.
The university is seeking to increase its academic programs, students’ enrollment and human resource capacity to realize its strategic vision of being a University of Global Excellence in Advancing Knowledge Science and Technology.
The University is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill various vacant positions. Detailed information about the specific position, duties and responsibilities, minimum requirements, and application guide is available on the University Website,” part of the job advert read.
Technical University of Mombasa open opportunities
According to the job advert, the positions advertised are categorized into administrative and teaching positions.
For the teaching category, the institution has advertised 18 vacancies, which include a Senior Lecturer in Business Administration, a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, Lecturer in Management Science, and Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism (2 positions).

Other positions include Associate Professor, Lecturer in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (2 positions), Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Associate Professor in Building and Civil Engineering, Senior Lecturer in Medical Engineering, Associate Professor in Pre-Clinical Sciences, Tutorial Fellow in Marine Engineering, Counselor under the Dean of Students, and Lecturer in Public Relations, Journalism, or Communication Studies (2 positions).
For the administrative category, 20 vacancies have been advertised. These include Office Administrator III (4 positions), Maintenance Technologist, Nursing Officer II (2 positions), Procurement Officer II, Senior ICT Officer III, and Technologist III (7 positions).

University of Laikipia announces vacancies
The University further urged qualified candidates to submit their applications must on or before Tuesday 9 December, 2024.
All applications will be through the University’s online portal a which is accessible via the link: Career opportunities or https://jobs.tum.ac.ke/ Email and hardcopy applications will not be accepted.

Elsewhere, the University of Laikipia has also announced vacancies within their institution. The institution has called on qualified applicants to apply for the positions advertised.
The positions advertised include: Senior lecturer for Social Studies (2 positions), Deputy Registrar and Dean of Students (2 positions).
