From 2017 to date he has been a member of the Parliament for Kimilili Constituency. He has been consistent in winning the elective seat for many years.
He was initially elected as a member of parliament on the Jubilee Party ticket but later he joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Didmus Barasa started his career in the Kenya Armed Forces in 2007. In 2009, he became a corporate House manager working under Shell Company in Australia.
In 2012, he became regional manager in logistics for companies operating across East Africa. That includes Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Djibouti, Ethiopia, DRC, and Great Lakes under Bollore Logistics company.
