Oscar Sudi Early Childhood
Oscar Kipchumba Sudi popularly known as Oscar Sudi, was born on 12th March 1980 in Kitale before his family moved to Kesses, Uasin Gishu.
He was born into a poor family: his father was a charcoal burner while his mother was unemployed during that time. Oscar and his family were squatters on Mzee Kibor’s land.
Their home was located next to Moi University.
Education Background
According to the legislator, Oscar Sudi attended Olympic Primary School. Thereafter, he joined Highway High School and later he joined Kenya Institute of Management for his tertiary education.
In October 2016, Oscar was charged with presenting a fake KCSE certificate and a fake Diploma certificate from the Kenya Institute of Management.
The former Highway High School Principal also testified in court in May 2022 that Sudi did not sit his KCSE examination in the school in 2006.
Life in Politics
Oscar joined the political arena in 2003 when he campaigned for David Koros. He joined President William Ruto’s party dubbed URP. Consequently, Sudi ran for a parliamentary seat and won. Sudi retained the seat in 2017.
Between 2013 and 2017, Oscar was a member of the Departmental Committee on Lands, the Procedure and House Rules Committee and the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee. He is a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
Hate Speech Controversy
In September 2020, Oscar Sudi allegedly spread hate speech towards President Uhuru Kenyatta. Locals prevented the police from accessing his home to bar him from arrest. Afterwards, Sudi surrendered himself to the police on 13th September.

He married his first wife in 2000. Sudi has two wives namely Ann and Lilian.

Sudi claims that he amassed his wealth through his business ventures. He has numerous mansions with one worth Ksh 100 million. According to sources, Oscar Sudi has a net worth of 890 million.
