Samuel Kanar Seki is the current Senator representing Kajiado County, elected in the August 2022 general election under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
Before becoming a senator, he served as the County Secretary for both Narok County (2013-2017) and Kajiado County (2017-2021).

Career Background
Samuel Lenku Kanar Seki began his public service career at the Ministry of Local Government, serving at the Olkejuado County Council.
Between 2004 and 2013, he rose to the position of County Director of Administration, where he coordinated the functions of the local authority and chaired various committees, including procurement and human resource committees.
From 2012 to 2013, he served as Director of Human Resources Manager and Acting County Secretary in Kajiado County under the Transition Authority.
His responsibilities included overseeing human resource management operations, advising on human resource planning and succession management, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and human resource policies.
Between 2014 and 2017, he was appointed County Secretary and Head of Public Service for Narok County Government.
In this role, he served as Secretary to the County Executive Committee and managed the county public service.
In 2017, he became County Secretary and Head of Public Service for Kajiado County Government.
His role involved coordinating the county public service, overseeing implementation of county decisions, and serving as Secretary to the County Executive Committee.
In the August 2022 general election, he was elected Senator for Kajiado County on the UDA ticket.
As Senator, he chairs the Senate Committee on Trade, Industrialisation & Tourism.
